Taller than the London Eye, Blackpool Tower and Big Ben, the Spinnaker Tower soars 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent, providing one of the most stunning views you’ll find anywhere in the UK. Located on the waterfront at Gunwharf Quays, the tower offers incredible 360-degree views of Portsmouth Harbour, the South Coast and the Isle of Wight, with three viewing decks offering a choice of viewing options. First, there’s the glass skywalk, making your kids feel like they’re floating above the city. The next deck houses the café, where you can enjoy refreshments with incredible sights. Finally, there’s the open-air deck, where you’ll enjoy the outstanding sky view with the wind in your hair.

As an important landmark in the UK’s rich naval history, Portsmouth is home to some of the nation’s most iconic seafaring innovations. And at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, your little ones will have the chance to see these wonders in all their glory. The dockyard is renowned for its fleet of famous ships, including Lord Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory, the only surviving boat from the First World War’s Gallipoli Campaign, and the Cold War submarine HMS Alliance. Elsewhere, there’s the action-packed pirate underworld in the Horrible Histories Pirates Exhibition to enjoy, alongside Action Stations where your children will learn to train as mini–Royal Marines Commandos.
